Reports in the Turkish media this week quoted Mehdi Isik, claiming to be the Togo international’s new agent, saying the 31-year-old was interested in a move to the country.
Adebayor has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane this summer after a difficult season in north Lonndon in which he scored just two goals in 17 appearances under Mauricio Pochettino.
But the former Arsenal and Manchester City striker has taken to Twitter to reaffirm his commitment to Spurs and dismiss the Turkish reports.
“For the record, I have seen some articles regarding a transfer to teams in Turkey,” he wrote.
“I can confirm I have never heard of Mehdi Isik who has said he is my agent and have never discussed any move to Turkey.
“I am very happy with Tottenham and look forward to the next season with them.”
