Aston Villa will take no further action against striker Gabriel Agbonlahor after investigating his conduct on a recent trip to Dubai, the club have announced.
The 29-year-old academy product has only made 15 Premier League appearances for the bottom club this season, and his future at Villa Park looked to be in further jeopardy following an article in Friday’s Daily Star.

A tweet from Villa later that day announced that Agbonlahor, who was pictured apparently smoking a shisha pipe during a recent holiday in Dubai, would not be involved in Saturday’s early afternoon clash with Chelsea while an internal investigation into his behaviour is carried out.
But the club, having investigated his actions, have revealed they will not take any further action against the player.
The club tweeted on Tuesday:
Aston Villa Football Club has completed its investigation into Gabby Agbonlahor’s trip to Dubai over the international break. 1/2
