Agent of Dortmund star admits Everton talks, but no Liverpool mention

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Emre Mor has held talks with Everton over his future this summer, according to his agent.

Mor was linked with a move to the Premier League at the start of the month, with both Everton and Liverpool linked with his services.

His former representative, who parted company with the player earlier this summer, admits that negotiations were held with Everton and another Premier League side, but never Liverpool.

“We held talks with both Everton and Huddersfield. Two Bundesliga clubs were also interested,” Bariz Soofizadeh was quoted as saying by Ajanspor.

“We came close to striking deals with Fiorentina and Inter.

“We were in agreement with Inter, but then they decided to change figures in the contract. They also wanted to enter an  €80million release clause and made some absurd claims.

“The Chinese owner always proposed renegotiations when you could not find an agreement. The deal was stopped because of Inter.

“He has always wanted Inter. Lille wanted him. Betis also followed him.

“Emre wanted to go to Real Madrid or Barcelona but neither expressed an interest in him.”
