Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj’s agent has confirmed Premier League clubs have expressed an interest in his client.
Speculation has linked both Manchester United and Arsenal with a summer move for the defender and now the Albanian’s agent has claimed his man is in demand.
Hysaj has impressed for Napoli this season, playing a crucial part in both their Serie A and Champions League campaigns.
His performances have increased the speculation regarding his future and rumours have suggested he could swap Italy for England at the end of the season.
Reacting to the ongoing transfer talk, agent Mario Giuffredi has admitted his client is being closely monitored.
He told Italian media outlet Radio CRC: “There are several scouts who have come to view him, representing German and English interest, but we have no need to leave Napoli.
“Elseid is in his second season at Napoli and I think he can do well next term as well.
“The lad really wants to fight for the Scudetto, so both his intentions and those of Napoli coincide.
“Having said that, Hysaj has a release clause in his contract and if a club arrives that is intent on paying it, the player could leave.
“If that were to happen, we’d keep Napoli fully in the loop on everything and wouldn’t take any other paths without informing the club first.”
The 23-year-old’s agent has previously admitted his client would be open to a move to Old Trafford, while Arsenal have been linked with the full-back as a possible replacement to Hector Bellerin who could rejoin Barcelona this summer.
