Thomas Tuchel: Arsenal rumours squashed

Thomas Tuchel will not become the new coach of Bayer Leverkusen this summer, his agent has confirmed.

His representative Olaf Meinking has stated that Tuchel will take time off before making a decision on his future, but ruled out the Bayer job.

Leverkusen have a had a managerial vacancy since sacking Roger Schmidt in March, and have decided not to continue with interim boss Tayfun Korkut.

Recent reports suggested the ex-BVB boss was in pole position for the job.

“Thomas will not take charge of Leverkusen,” Meinking told FAZ.

“We will see how things develop after his holiday. He could take some time off, but he could also move abroad.”
