Joe Allen expects every Liverpool player to get a chance to impress new boss Jurgen Klopp with the Reds facing five games in 18 days.
Midfielder Allen only played the final 10 minutes in Klopp’s first match in charge – the 0-0 draw at Tottenham – but is hoping to start in Thursday’s Europa League clash with Rubin Kazan.
The Wales international is also expected to feature for his country in their friendly with Holland on November 13, before Liverpool face a further nine games before the turn of the year.
“I think sometimes from the outside there seems to be a bit of a worry when there’s lots of games in a short space of time,” Allen told the club’s official website.
“But as a player you relish these times because this is what it’s all about and you can’t wait to get out there and play.
“There will be rotation, there has to be when you have so many games in such a short time and with the new manager coming in it’s a good time, a good opportunity for everyone to stake a claim and get themselves in the mixer for regular game time.”
Liverpool are second in Group B after 1-1 draws with Bordeaux and FC Sion, who lead the group.
