Arsenal reportedly believe that they could persuade Borussia Dortmund hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to move to The Emirates.
The Gabon star was once again in prolific form as he banged in 40 goals for Dortmund in all competitions last season.
Aubameyang is currently under contract at Signal Iduna Park until 2020 but it was reported last month that he had handed in a transfer request and was seeking a fresh challenge away from the Bundesliga.
PSG were believed to have had a £61m accepted for the 27-year-old but that was quickly denied by Dortmund and now Arsenal are showing a genuine interest in the forward, according to a report in the Daily Star.
Indeed, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger tried to bring the player to north London last summer but the move never really looked like happening.
However, Wenger is said to have been handed a £150m transfer kitty to turn Arsenal into title challengers again and bringing in a Aubameyang would be a huge coup for the Gunners.
There will be plenty of competition for the striker, however, with Manchester United known admirers, while Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid have also been linked with Aubameyang in recent times.
