Shout out to Cech

Not a great performance but will take the three points. They are not a bad team now and won’t loose many games at home so it is got to be a good result. Another clean sheet defensively we look solid at the moment. Got to say good shout out the hech! He has been outstanding this season. I thought he was past it but he has made some outstanding saves this season and looked really sharp.

I agree Bellerin has gone a bit back wards I thought The completion from ox brought out the best in him last year now we don’t have any real competion for him. I think we should give Maitland Niles a go there or buy some real competion for him. A good weekend for us so let’s keep it going. COYGS

‘Stunned we’re fourth…’

Not sure we should be making excuses like “they’re not a bad team” – they also cost a tiny fraction of what Wenger has spent.

However, we did get the three points and Cech had a great game – definitely kept us in it.

I’m just stunned at how we’re 4th right now, considering all the points we’ve dropped to teams we really should be beating, not to mention a couple of hidings at the hands of rivals. I’ll take it, but think where we’d be if Wenger had this team playing more consistently – as he very much should have, considering how long he’s had.

I suspect Wenger will rest a few players on Wed, with Man U in mind – let’s just hope he doesn’t f**k it up. We’re getting a tiny bit of momentum now, we know what this team is capable of and we need to get a run going.

C’MON YOU GUNNERS!!!

‘Usual suspects letting us down yet again’

This was a great win. We shouldnt think Burnley is automatic 3 points, they have been performing beyond belief this season so far. Thoughts from anyone thinking this is an easy 3 points, especially away from home. its thats kind of thinking that we berate the team for having.

Sometimes we need a bit of perspective, all the hate towards wenger clouds what alot of people think. We got what is a brilliant result away from home against a well organised, drilled team who play games like that as if it was a final.

Only issue i had with the win was the usual suspects letting us down yet again! Jack looked lively and gave some drive into teh team. Xhaka, well he had is one good game against spurs so he might as well sit rest of season out! Mustafi was good again and cech was as usual mr reliable

Bellerin has been ‘terrible’

So typical of him to go onto social media after the game and do something foolish. He tweets “Last minute winner? Some would say we have cojones!!!”.Ok,now obviously this is a reply to what troy deeney said about our players after the game earlier on this season.

Let’s just get some perspective here, and now even though I hate the old monk deeney he has nothing against us and was speaking what he actually felt about our players. He basically said that time we lacked balls,we are too soft and afraid to get in player’s faces. He also mentioned mertesacker’s name. The guy is hundred percent right, and I’ve been saying this for the longest time.

Now,back to bellerin. The guy has become absoutely terrible. His first touch, his reactions, his decision making.Everything.For him to tweet that?I’m sorry bellerin we were crap today and literally got out of jail.No I’m not being negative,I’m being realistic.

We struggled to break them down and honestly got lucky the ref spotted it and didn’t get influenced by the crowd.Either way, tweeting something like that is the last thing that should be on bellerin’s mind.he should concentrate on his performances, and today I felt he was just terrible.I use to like this fella so much until I realised what a wuss he actually is.

He has the talent, but it’s never going to be made full use of under wenger. He needs a manager to toughen him up.Selling ox he basically has no competetion there. He’s gotten too comfortable.

Chelsea fans need patience

Reading comments on here regarding our players not being good enough for the team sort of answers the question why we don’t bring players through. Players need time to gel in a settled side, both player and system wise, this season we don’t seem to have that and two or three average performances and there’s calls for players heads.

We need patience as that brings stability which hopefully will bring consistent success….Pagan

Conte shows his versatility

Pagan, it seems to me that Conte has adapted the tactics to get the best out of what he has and with the return from injury of Hazard and Kante and the reviewed tactics we are looking a much better team again.

I think you’re right patience is needed even SAF and the United Board needed that before United set out on their amazing trophy laden decades.

Conte seems to be prepared to blood and develop some of our best young players and it’s encouraging to see Christensen being given the opportunities he is and he’s not letting anyone down. Longevity in a Manager would be good imo too. Cheers 999

Chelsea aim to finish above Man Utd

Aindro, In my opinion our main focus with the Premier League is to end up in front of United – those bragging rights would be very meaningful in my opinion, especially after we released Matic to them. That would be a pretty good statement for mine and something Jose would have difficulty accepting. I’d like that 🙂

Anfield point a good one

First and foremost I think we played well and certainly did not deserve to lose. Whether Willian meant it or not he nearly always has an impact and for me is much better than Pedro this season

Must have been a close call between Drinkwater (still not fit) and Bakayoko (poor game) as to who should come off to make way for Fabregas but IMO that decision was made too late for Fabregas to make a decisive impact

I like Zappa and think he is far more potent going forward than Moses but did not think he had his best game and half expected him to make way for Moses at some stage. The fact that both Willian and Pedro were preferred actually says something to me about how Conte views Moses contribution and it is not so much these days as an attacking outlet

While I thought that Liverpool were there for the taking especially seeing their team selection, I feel that coming away from Anfield with a point (especially after going behind) cannot be considered anything else but a decent result

We now have a good run of games where we should be looking for maximum points and also provides the opportunities to rest a few players if we need/want to. KTBFFH

A difference of opinion on Moses

CFC1905

I beg to differ with you on the Moses one. there was no way Conte would have thrown Willian in to party when Willian who many thought would merit a start on the back of his display against Qarabag.

Moses hasn’t played since the Palace game. its not that Conte doesn’t rate his attacking contribution. i thought we have missed him equally although not to the extent like we missed Kante. Willian will away be my favourite player. and its now that he is coming to the party.

i would have started him against Liverpool and play 3-4-2-1 or even 3-5-2 and play Willian as a no 10 behind two strikers in Hazard and Morata. actually i don’t think you can say Willian is better than Pedro this season. both of them had been below their best. you can say Pedro has scored some important goals this season. and Willian has scored also some important. and none was so than the one he scored on Saturday.

‘Liverpool can’t dither in January’

It’s not December yet, but the impact he is already having could spark Couts & others around him to make the second half of the season very very interesting.

The club must not dither in the January window & bring in a couple of players to give us some steel in defence & midfield because an attack like that needs a proper platform.

Is Salah better than Suarez?

He’s very good but I wouldn’t go that far in saying he is better than any of the greats who have played for our club until he dies it consistently. I’m so glad we didn’t get him the first time and that he went through the ‘Chelsea loan system’ instead to develop.

I think Klopp needs to keep playing him where he plays on the right. I love his Robbenesque dribbling ability and his off the ball movement, he anticipates, reads situations so well and has strength that positively bretrays his physical frame.

I agree he is very very good and if I was Liverpool, I’d start drafting the new updated contract alreadt 😉

When we singed him someone said “He only scores tap ins” My response at least in my head was “When’s the last time we had player who scores tap ins?”

Great buy in a inflated market my children have a new favourite LFC player they run around the living room kick a ball shouting MOHAMMED SALAHHHHHH !!!

AK

AK, for two seasons in a row, Klopp has signed a world-class player who has defied all expectations and silenced the sceptics. Who would believe that a Liverpool winger would be top scorer in the Premiership (currently), even I find that hard to believe.

If you look at my old posts I vigorously argued against the numerous doubters on this site who were against us signing both Salah and Mane, and I predicted they would both be big successes for Liverpool.

Next superstar on the way is Keita, can’t wait for him to terrorise the Premiership

‘Mourinho won’t have the guts to test Watford’

The managers put together a decent team at Watford and got them playing well as a collective unit. A lot of energy in midfield which will be too much for our ageing legs in the central areas and we’re on an absolutely terrible run of form. I don’t think Mourinho will have the guts to test out the suspect Watford defence so I’m going for a 2-0 defeat and angry orgasms all round on here.

Next three games are tough

I cannot see us winning the next 3 league games.

Watford 1 – 1 UTD
Arsenal 1 – 1 UTD
UTD 1 – 2 City

‘United will have one eye on Arsenal result’

Has Wonderfuel thrown his toys out of his pram and being petulant I wonder or is he serious.

Watford are one of those well organised mid-table teams like Brighton. They will want to do well in front of their fans and get a feather in their cap with a victory. But if they take the lead I don’t think they’ll push their luck for a second goal, they’ll park the bus and try to hold on for life.

Conversely, despite the 3 points on Saturday I think the mood at United is low. The players will have one eye on the Arsenal game and not want to take chances or go that extra mile. And away fixtures midweek in winter are never easy.

I’m going for 1-0 Watford win.

PS – A CSKA win is highly possible. We’re through anyway and the fixture is sandwiched between Arse and City.

MacGuffin

We have to find a way of beating Watford as all of the teams around us have relatively straight forward games. In any other season a draw would be an alright result but it won’t be this season. We need to find a way and i’m going for another 0-1 win to United.
