Arsenal have reportedly been given a “boost” in their pursuit of Barcelona man Arda Turan.
According to reports in Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have rejected Galatasaray’s offer to loan Turan for the 2017/18 season.
This is because they wish to sell the 30-year-old, and the Turkish Super Lig side have had their approach rejected as a result of Barcelona’s policy towards Turan.
Mundo Deportivo also state that Barcelona’s €30 million asking price is putting Arsenal off, and the Gunners are holding out for the Catalan club to accept a lower fee.
According to Ahmet Bulut of Turkish-Football, Turan does not wish to move to China or back to Turkey.
Arsenal and Inter Milan are the “only realistic options left” according to Bulut, but neither club has made an official bid as of yet.
Turan only joined Barca a year ago but was made to wait until January before he could be registered due to the La Liga champions’ transfer embargo.
