Arsenal have launched an audacious bid to sign Barcelona attacking midfielder Arda Turan, according to reports.
Spanish publication Sport have a story regarding the future of Turan on their front page and claim that the 29-year-old has several suitors, including the Gunners.
Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Fenerbahce are all interested in signing the Turkish midfielder, who had a difficult debut season at the Nou Camp after he was finally granted permission to play in January 2016.
Having moved from Atletico Madrid last summer for €34 million, he was only allowed to make his debut earlier this year due to Barcelona’s transfer ban. But he struggled to make an impact on the first team and had to settle for a bit-part role under Luis Enrique.
Turan though is believed to be desperate to make a go of his chance in Catalonia and there is no indication that he wants to move on and Barca are unlikely to be willing to sell him for anything less than they paid Atletico for his services.

However, Turan, who played in all three of Turkey’s Euro 2016 games, has a difficult task in asserting himself at the Nou Camp with the likes of Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic, Andres Iniesta and new boy Denis Suarez all ahead of him in the pecking order.
Still, it’s understood the former Galatasray star, who scored just two goals in 18 appearances last season, wants to try and establish himself with the La Liga giants and any interest Arsene Wenger has in the 93-cap Turkey star would be futile.
