Alexandre Lacazette: Has been linked with Liverpool

Arsenal are preparing a £60million bid for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette with Arsene Wenger resigned to losing Alexis Sanchez in the summer, according to reports.

Sanchez is yet to agree terms on a new deal at the Emirates Stadium and with less than 18 months left on his existing contract, the Gunners boss is understood to have privately conceded defeat.

And the Daily Mirror claims that the potential loss of the Chilean has meant that the Gunners are eyeing a list of suitors with Lacazette at the top of their targets.

The newspaper reports that Lyon will demand in excess of £50million for Lacazette with the actual figure being nearer his £60million buyout clause.

And the Gunners, who had a £35million bid rejected for the French striker in the summer, will have to act fast if they want to land Lacazette as Liverpool are also reportedly interested.

Despite scoring 27 goals in 31 appearances for the Ligue 1 side this campaign, they are now thought to be likely to cash in on their prized asset.
