Arsenal have made a £26.3million bid for Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan, according to a report.
Marca claim the Turkey playmaker has been told he can leave the Camp Nou and Arsenal, who have been linked with Turan in the past, have been quick to make a formal offer for the 30-year-old.
Turan still has three years to run on his Barcelona deal after arriving from Atletico Madrid for £29million in 2015, but he will be allowed to leave by new Barca boss Ernesto Valverde.
Turan scored 13 goals and collected seven assists from his 30 appearances last season, but his time is apparently up in Catalonia.
The tricky midfielder, who has played in 55 occasions for the Catalan side in two seasons, is also interesting new Inter Milan boss Luciano Spalletti, while Sporting Lisbon are also believed to have made an enquiry about the player.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea were believed to be monitoring Turan’s situation last summer and Catalan publication Sport claimed Barca were willing to allow Turan to leave 12 months ago.
Fenerbahce and Galatasaray were both said to be keen on bringing the Turkish star home last summer.
