Alexis Sanchez: Forward celebrates with Olivier Giroud

Arsenal were held to a 2-2 by PSG at the Emirates, with Alexis Sanchez making the biggest impression in our player ratings.

David Ospina: Could do nothing for Cavani’s goal and was unlucky that Iwobi deflected Lucas’ header for the second. 6

Carl Jenkinson: Got forward well but wasted a couple of promising positions with over-hit crosses. Opener came down his channel and missed header allowed Lucas to equalise. 5

Shkodran Mustafi: Allowed Matuidi in behind for the opener and also gave away ball cheaply in own half on two occasions. Struggled with Cavani’s movement throughout. 5

Laurent Koscielny: Great interception prevented Cavani from scoring in first half and could do little about the opener. Booked in the second half after giving ball away on the edge of his own box, before denying Jese with superb block at the death. 7

Kieran Gibbs: Cleared one effort off the line in a steady display. 6

Aaron Ramsey: More comfortable in a central position and burst forward from deep but was part of a midfield which was bossed by their opposite numbers, especially in the first half. 6

Francis Coquelin: Had to watch while PSG kept hold of the ball in the first half and could not wrestle momentum Arsenal’s way. Will miss the trip to Basel after being booked. 5

Alexis Sachez: Deployed out wide and typically combative, the Chilean’s energy drove Arsenal on in the second half. ‘Won’ the penalty after keeping his cool when through on goal and his pressure resulted in the own-goal. 8

Mesut Ozil: Often had to drift wide but his quality told when lovely reverse pass led to penalty. 7

Alex Iwobi: One mazy run which ultimately came to nothing sums up his recent displays. Diverted Lucas’ header past Ospina. 6

Olivier Giroud: Handed a rare start but had little joy against PSG’s two centre-halves. Won the ball high up the pitch in the build-up to the penalty and kept his cool to convert from the spot. 7

Granit Xhaka (for Iwobi, 77′): Tasked with shoring up the midfield but had little time to make an impact. 6

Theo Walcott (for Coquelin, 79′): Did not get an opportunity to create something in the final third. 6

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (for Jenkinson, 80′): Brought on again at right-back but could not repeat his Old Trafford trick of creating a winner. 6
