Kieran Gibbs, Francis Coqelin and Mesut Ozil were not much better than David Ospina in Arsenal’s defeat to Olympiacos, according to the media.
Arsenal lost 3-2 to Olympacios at Emirates Stadium in their second Champions League game on Tuesday night, with Ospina dropping a corner into his own net as the Gunners made it back-to-back defeats in Group F.
The Colombian goalkeeper was predictably rated as the worst of the hosts’ players by the media, scoring an average score of 4.625 out of 10 in the Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph and The Sun, but he was not the only one to score badly.
Gibbs scored an average of only 5.25, with only the Mail awarding him more than 6/10, while Coquelin and Ozil both scored averages of 5.5 with two 5s and two 6s.
At the other end of the scale, Alexis Sanchez was awarded 8/10 across the board, with Walcott also marked highly by the Miror and Mail.
