Arsenal plot January raid for £20m rated former Man Utd target

Hirving Lozano: Wants move to 'important' Man Utd

Arsenal are reportedly keen on a January deal for Hirving Lozano after sending scouts to make regular checks on the PSV winger.

The Mexican only moved to the Dutch giants over the summer, but has quickly adjusted to his new surroundings in the Eredivisie after being named Dutch Player of the Month for August.

Lozano has also become the first player to score in his first three appearances for PSV, and has since gone on to net six in games for the table-toppers.

And such has been his form that Arsenal have sent chief scout Steve Rowley to make regular checks on the winger ahead of a possible January move.

The Daily Mail claims Rowley has made regular trips to the Philips Stadion, and Arsenal believe a bid of around £20million will convince PSV to cash in.

Lozano could be viewed as a replacement for Alexis Sanchez if the Chilean leaves the Emirates in the New Year.

Lozano scored 43 goals in 149 appearances for Mexican outfit Pachuca before moving to Holland in June and was tracked by both Manchester United and Manchester City prior to his move.

Speaking about his future while at Pachuca earlier in the year, the 22-year-old admitted his interest in moving to Manchester United.

“I believe many leagues are beautiful. I like the English and the Spanish very much,” he told Univision. “But let’s see how things are and decide. The one I would like most is Manchester. I like this club a lot and it’s a very important club.”
