Arsenal have had a £15million bid rejected for Napoli midfielder Jorginho, reports in Italy claim.

The 25-year-old is believed to also be a target for Liverpool having impressed since arriving in Naples from Hellas Verona in 2015.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal made a bid of £15m which was immediately rejected by Napoli.

The report claims that the Gunners have been warned Jorginho is not for sale, despite the fact he is not a guaranteed starter next season for Mauricio Sarri’s team.

Jorginho plays predominantly as a defensive midfielder, starting 27 games for Napoli last season as they finished runners up to Juventus in Serie A.

Arsenal have already seen bids for Monaco star Thomas Lemar and Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette rejected, but they are believed to be closing in on a deal for the latter.
