Arsene Wenger is still keen on bringing a France international to Arsenal in January, according to a report.

The Sunday Express claims that Arsenal will compete with West Ham, Everton and Juventus to sign Steven N’Zonzi from Sevilla.

It was believed that the former Stoke man would be available on a cut-price January deal, after admitting he wanted to leave the club after falling out with Eduardo Berizzo after a 3-3 Champions League draw with Liverpool.

Berizzo has since been sacked, however the number of clubs chasing N’Zonzi may force the La Liga club to sell.

Allardyce signed N’Zonzi for Blackburn eight years ago, and it is believed the new Everton boss is keen on a reunion, while David Moyes has funds at his disposal to strengthen West Ham’s squad in January.

The 29-year-old midfielder is believed to be valued at around £30million by Sevilla.
