Arsenal will revive their interest in Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling in January, in a deal that could see Alexis Sanchez move in the other direction, according to reports.
The Daily Mail state that a deal to take Sterling to the Emirates could be achievable, due to Man City’s long-term interest in the Gunners’ star man, Sanchez.
Arsene Wenger failed in his attempts to lure Sterling in the summer, much to the benefit of table-toppers City, who have seen Sterling hit blistering form during the course of the season so far.
Pep Guardiola was unwilling to discuss the transfer in the summer due to Arsenal’s demands to have Sterling as part of any deal that would see Sanchez go in the opposite direction.
Sterling has hit 10 goals and two assists so far this season, helping City on their way to the top of the table.
With Arsenal’s title hopes already hanging by a thread, whether Sterling would consider the move remains to be seen, but the Gunners will test the waters again when the transfer window opens, if the Daily Mail are to be believed.
