Bale in surprise talks to form new attacking trident at Euro giants

Manchester United and Liverpool target Gareth Bale has reportedly held talks with a European giant over a summer move.

According to Sport, Bale’s agent has already opened discussions with Paris Saint-Germain over a possible transfer.

The outlet claims that the former Spurs star is being monitored by PSG, and that his name was “mentioned on the sidelines” of the Champions League meeting between PSG and Real Madrid.

Sport claimed yesterday that Jurgen Klopp is keen to get the 28-year-old Wales star on board as he hunts for a replacement for Philippe Coutinho.

Real apparently want around €100million (£88million) from the sale of Bale as they look to raise some cash to fund a potential move for Neymar.

However, it has been suggested that Bale could form one third of a new attacking trident at PSG, alongside Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Any possibility of the Brazil star leaving in the summer were seemingly quashed on Tuesday when the PSG president insisted he is happy at the club.

“He’s very happy at PSG, of course,” Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports News in a telephone call from Santos. “I was very happy to see him, and I am sure he will come soon for normal training.”

“All the stories in the last couple of weeks, saying Neymar is unhappy at the club, are fake news stories,” one source close to Neymar has told Sky Sports News.
