Mario Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola has once again taken aim at Jurgen Klopp and revealed the striker could return to the Premier League.
Raiola is adamant Klopp was too quick to judge Balotelli, who moved to Nice in the summer on a free transfer.
“I still think it’s a shame that Klopp didn’t give him a fair chance, but Mario is proving to himself, more than to others, what he can do,” Raiola told talkSPORT.
“It’s his career – I think he understands a lot of things and he knows what he did as a mistake in the past.
“But it’s useless to look back, it’s only useful to look forward.”
Raiola also confirmed he had already held talks about Balotelli returning to the Premier League.
He moved to Ligue 1 in the summer for free just two years after a £16million move to Anfield and the Italian, who has scored 10 times in 14 gamess for Nice, could soon return.
Asked if there was a chance the 26-year-old could move back to England, Raiola said: “There could be. We’ve already had talks with English clubs, but it’s really too early to say. We want to keep it day-by-day with Mario.
“For Mario I always knew it [his return to form] will come. He was in his last year at Liverpool and he was very stable and not so emotional any more.”
Balotelli recently spilled the beans on his Liverpool failure and gave an insight into an icy relationship with Klopp.
Balotelli’s Anfield nightmare was finally brought to an end when the former AC Milan was allowed to join Nice.
The finer details of Balotelli’s Liverpool contract also recently revealed a £1million behaviour bonus.
