Barcelona have offered Paris Saint-Germain three players in a bid to lure Marco Verratti to the Camp Nou, claims a report.

Negotiations are continuing between the clubs with Barca seemingly so desperate to bring the Italy international midfielder Marco Verratti to Spain they have offered three players to the Ligue 1 giants.

Diario Gol reports the players Barcelona are prepared to sacrifice are midfielders Rafinha, Arda Turan and Andre Gomes.

The 24-year old midfield kingpin is Barca’s No.1 summer target and they hope the offer of three players will help them avoid paying the €100million asking price for Verratti.

New Catalan boss Ernesto Valverde is planning a clear-out at the Camp Nou this summer and sees this as the perfect opportunity to make a cull with the minimum amount of effort.

PSG apparently though have other ideas, and as reported over the weekend, would like Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic as part of any exchange deal with the Blaugrana.

Verratti’s agent and the Ligue 1  club are believed to have held talks after the Coupe de France final at the end of May.

At the start of May his agent Donato Di Campli told Premium Sport: “I don’t feel like saying anything. A lot of wrong things have been said. I want to leave things calm, PSG aren’t in the happiest moment. We’ll ask for a meeting with the club to discuss Marco’s future.

“The club has said that Marco won’t leave, so we have to respect the will of the club. We will, however, make a point of the situation after the Coupe de France final.”

And last week Di Campli admitted a return to Serie A looked unlikely and said his situation was “complicated”.

“It’s very complicated [to leave], but we have expressed our ideas to PSG,” Donato Di Campli told Sky Italia. “We’re not talking about Barcelona or other clubs, it’s about projects.

“I think I represent a champion and clearly I have questions. To be a champion you have to win.

“If PSG don’t want to sell him, despite offers from all over Europe, then we’d have to examine our consciences in Italy.

“It’s difficult. I think it’s a deal which is still out of the scope of Italian clubs.”

Italian journal La Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed Verratti, who has been linked with Chelse and Man Utd, has told PSG he wants to play alongside Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
