Neymar: Linked with Manchester United

Barcelona have stepped up their interest in Juventus forward Paulo Dybala amid reports they could offload Neymar in the summer.

A report in Spain claims Dybala has “decided to leave Juventus at the end of the season” and “La Joya” is intent on playing in Primera Liga with the Catalan giants.

Mundo Deportivo also claim Barca “love Dybala because of his individual quality and versatility” and a transfer could well happen in the coming months with Neymar’s future up in the air.

The Brazilian striker this week spoke of his admiration for the Premier League and Man Utd have been linked with his services, as well as long-term suitors PSG.

“I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool — these are the teams that are always there fighting,” said Neymar, whose contract runs in Spain until 2021.

Neymar only signed his latest extension in July last year – a decision which reportedly persuaded Dybala to stay in Turin as he knew he would be behind Neymar in the Luis Enrique’s pecking order.

Barca though are set to come knocking again for the talented 23-year-old forward and that could signal the departure of Neymar to Old Trafford or PSG.

In October Neymar’s father revealed Manchester United had made an offer to Barcelona.

Reports of United’s keenness to explore a deal for Neymar emerged late in the 2016 summer window, but the Barca forward’s father says they were never interested in what the Premier League club had to offer.

“The offer reached Barcelona and the club contacted us saying they were not going to sell,” Neymar Sr told Boa Tarde Fox.

“They asked if we were interested, but that wasn’t the case. Barcelona are not selling, he has three years still to go on his contract.”

Things though may well have changed now, especially now Barca have lined up his replacement.

Juventus are obviously keen to keep their talisman, who could cost Barcelona well over 100million euros.
