Roy Keane has criticized Barcelona’s celebratory dressing room selfies despite describing their Champions League comeback against PSG as “amazing” and a “rollercoaster ride”.
On an incredible night in Catalonia, Barca became the first time in Champions League history to overturn a 4-0 first-leg deficit and advanced 6-5 on aggregate.
Sergi Roberto capped off a remarkable evening in which Luis Enrique’s troops scored three times after 88 minutes to advance to the quarter-finals as PSG completely collapsed.
“It was an amazing night, fantastic to watch,” Keane told ITV after the game. “It makes you appreciate and love the game so much.
“It’s the best sport on the planet and that game confirms it.”
However, when asked if he felt the comeback justified all the dressing room selfies shared by Barcelona players, Keane mulled over the answer before simply replying: “No.”
He added: “Not in the dressing room. I wouldn’t agree with that.
“But it’s been an amazing few weeks for them. The rollercoaster ride that is football.”
