Hull have signed midfielder Alfred N’Diaye on loan from Villarreal until the end of the season, subject to international clearance.
The 26-year-old returns to the Premier League having played for Sunderland between 2013 and 2014.
He joins with the Tigers bottom of the league and five points from the safety line ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Manchester United.
A Senegal international who has eight gaps, N’Diaye began his career with French side AS Nancy before moving to Turkey to play for Bursaspor.
N’Diaye made 16 appearances for Sunderland after joining in 2013 before he joined Real Betis in 2014.
N’Diaye was Hull’s second signing of deadline day after they completed a deal for Andrea Ranocchia on loan from Inter Milan until the end of the season.
