Arturo Vidal will be remaining at the Allianz Arena until at least the summer, according to Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes.
The Chilean has been linked with a move to Premier League side Chelsea after Bayern’s reported finalisation of a transfer for Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka seemingly opening up the opportunity for Vidal to leave.
Reports claim that Goretzka will move when his contract expires in the summer and that he has opted to join Bayern.
However, Heynckes was clear in his view that Vidal would be staying put this summer with nobody leaving the Bundesliga outfit in the winter market.
When Heynckes was asked by reporters about the rumoured Vidal interest, he said: “There is no contact between Chelsea and Bayern.
“We will not sell Arturo or any other player for that matter during the winter break.”
Heynckes comments come days after Conte spoke about speculation that Chelsea are interested in Vidal and his compatriot Alexis Sanchez.
“You are talking about two big and strong players, top players for their roles,” said Conte. “Vidal is one of the best in the world, but Sanchez is the same as a striker.”
