Alexis Sanchez: Wanted at Juve

Bayern Munich are reportedly keen to sign Alexis Sanchez this summer and have already asked Arsenal about his availability.

The Bundesliga giants are yet to make a formal approach for the Chilean forward, but the Daily Mirror says they have made “discreet enquiries” towards the Gunners.

Sanchez was an instant success after moving to the Emirates for £33million from Barcelona in 2014, but the 27-year-old has struggled with injuries at times during the current campaign, with Per Mertesacker admitting the north London club have suffered in his absences.

With two years remaining on his £130,000-a-week deal, Sanchez has offered no indication whether he would welcome the interest, though Bayern maybe encouraged by another season of stagnation at the Emirates.

Sanchez and Arsenal have been in discussions over a new contract, while Mesut Ozil is said to be close to signing a new deal worth £160,000 a week.
