David Beckham believes Tottenham pair Dele Alli and Harry Kane could be England’s difference-makers at the European Championship this summer.

England head into the tournament as fourth favourites behind hosts France, Germany and Spain.

Former Three Lions captain Beckham, the most capped outfield player in the national team’s history, believes Alli and Kane can replicate their club form on the international stage.

“England have a good chance of doing very well in the competition,” Beckham said. “They have some young, very talented players who aren’t afraid to play on the world stage.

“For me, Dele Alli and Harry Kane can be the difference. They’ve both had great seasons.”

Alli only made his England debut in October having enjoyed an incredible rise from League One football with MK Dons last season to a Premier League title challenge with Tottenham this campaign.

“Dele plays week in week out for Tottenham, he’s not scared to play, not scared to do things, he’s a joy to watch,” Beckham said. “Every England fan wants to see Dele do well.

“Harry is a very talented player and he can learn from the likes of Wayne Rooney.

“Go out there and enjoy it because these occasions don’t come around that often.”
