Hector Bellerin has admitted he “happy to attract” Barcelona’s interest after the Arsenal full-back was once again linked with a move back to his former club.
The 21-year-old Spaniard was reared through the Barcelona academy but left the club without making an appearance when he joined the Gunners back in 2011.
And Bellerin, who has since established himself as the club’s first-choice right back under Arsene Wenger, has emerged as his former club’s first choice to replace Dani Alves should the Brazilian leave for Juventus.
When asked about the links to Barcelona, the Arsenal right-back hardly did much to stop the whispers from growing in volume.
“Well, the truth is that right now this does not interest me, because I am focused on the national team,” Bellerin, who is not in Spain’s Euro 2016 squad, told Cadena Cope.
“For those things I have an agent who deals with off-the-field issues. When you have a good season, news like this always emerges.
“I am very misinformed about it, these are questions for my agent, but I am happy to attract the interest of such big clubs, that’s always nice.”
