Andrea Belotti: Could move to the Premier League

Manchester United could be closer to the signing of a new striker after there was a reported development on the future of Torino frontman Andrea Belotti.

The agent of United boss Jose Mourinho wants to take over the affairs of the Italy international and bring him to Old Trafford, according to a report in La Stampa (via Calciomercato).

Belotti has been outstanding in Serie A this season and that has led to several of Europe’s big boys sitting up and taking notice.

Torino’s club president, Urbano Cairo, has stated that anyone wishing to sign the 23-year-old would have to pay the club’s €100 million release clause but it now looks as if there could be a fresh twist to the tale.

Belotti himself has admitted that his “heart remains with the Granata and the fans” and that he will “always give his best for the club.”

However, Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes, who represents some of the biggest names in football, is keen on becoming the agent of one of the hottest properties in Europe and if that did happen then there is every likelihood that he will try and broker a move to the Manchester.
