Dennis Bergkamp has ruled himself out of the running to become the next Swansea boss – with Gus Poyet the new bookmakers’ favourite for the vacancy.
The Arsenal legend as been touted as a possible successor to Garry Monk, who was sacked this week after a poor run of results.
Brendan Rodgers and David Moyes have both distanced themselves from the job at the Liberty Stadium.
And Ajax No2 Bergkamp has played down speculation linking him with a return to the Premier League.
He said: “I currently have no ambition to become a head coach. There’s a job to do at Ajax and I see my role here in the next few years.”
Former Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is the new favourite for the post, with the Uruguayan at 13/10 with Unibet.
Chile coach Jorge Sampaoli (3/1) and Welshman Ryan Giggs (8/1) have also been mentioned.
Swansea caretaker manager Alan Curtis revealed on Friday that Monk’s departure was more painful because he had been at the club for so long.
