Besiktas have reignited their interest in Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina ahead of the January transfer window.

The Turkish club tried to sign Ospina in the summer but Arsene Wenger blocked the move as he wanted the Colombian to remain at the Emirates as backup to number one Peter Cech.

Ospina has since expressed his frustrations at his lack of first-team football at the Gunners, although did not cover himself in glory when given the chance, making a costly howler against Olympiacos in the Champions League.

And according to the Daily Mirror, the 27-year-old now wants to quit the North London club, alerting Besiktas.

Besiktas president Fikret Orman initially wants to sign the stopper on loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.

However, Wenger is still likely to be reluctant to allow the former Nice star to leave, with Wojciech Szczesny already out on loan at Serie A giants Roman.
