Slaven Bilic does not expect West Ham to do any more transfer business after signing Emmanuel Emenike on loan from Fenerbache.
Bilic knows Emenike from his spells coaching in Russia and Turkey and is confident the forward can make a big impact at Upton Park.
“We got the deal done and we are happy of course and he is happy,” Bilic told Sky Sports. “We wanted it because Mauro Zarate left as you know to Fiorentina and there is a possibility that Jelavic will go.
“With a couple of strikers injured still – hopefully they will be back very soon – we just needed a player who can play in three positions up front.
“Emenike has been on our radar and I know him for a long time. He is a great player and I hope he is going to do a great job for us.
“He is big. He is not that tall but he is big and strong. He is extremely quick and he is very direct. He is a good goal scorer and he works for the team. He goes in the channels. He is a really good player.”
When asked if West Ham planned to do any more business before the window closes, Bilic said: “No. That’s it, it is finished… I think.”
