Elliott Bennett: Eyed by Blackburn

Blackburn Rovers are leading the race to sign Norwich City’s Elliott Bennett, sources have told www.teamtalk.com.

Versatile performer Bennett has just recently returned to Norwich after a loan spell at Bristol City.

Bristol City signed Bennett on loan in October and were hoping to extend his stay at the club after he impressed at Ashton Gate during his loan stint.

However, Blackburn have now entered the race for the 26-year-old with Rovers boss Paul Lambert a big fan of the midfielder having worked with him during his time in charge of Norwich.

Bennett, who is out of contract at Norwich at the end of the season, is well down the pecking order at Carrow Road and the Canaries are willing to let him move on.

A number of Championship clubs have shown an interest in Bennett, but Blackburn are now in pole position to bring the player to Ewood Park.
