Blackburn Rovers are set to resist all offers for Jordan Rhodes when the transfer window reopens, sources have told TEAMtalk.com.
Rhodes’ future at Ewood Park is set to be the subject of speculation again in January with the prolific striker a target for a number of Premier League and Championship clubs.
Newcastle, who are battling to stay in the Premier League, West Ham, who have been hampered by a number of injuries to their forward line, and West Brom, who may lose Saido Berahino next month, have all been mentioned as possible destinations for Rhodes next month.
Sheffield Wednesday have also been linked with a big-money move for Rhodes as they look to mount a bid for promotion to the Premier League in the second half of the season.
Blackburn rejected several offers from Middlesbrough for Rhodes in the summer as they battled to keep hold of their prize asset.
New Blackburn boss Paul Lambert has been informed by the club’s owners – the Venky’s- he is under no pressure to sell Rhodes as they plan to keep the Scotland international at Ewood Park.
Rhodes, who has scored nine goals so far this season, is also thought to be settled at Blackburn and is in no rush to leave the club in the middle of the season.
