Sullay Kaikai: Linked with switch to Championship trio

Blackburn Rovers, Preston North End and Charlton Athletic are eyeing a move for Crystal Palace starlet Sullay Kaikai in January, sources have told TEAMtalk.

Kaikai is currently on loan at Shrewsbury Town and he has been earning rave reviews at Greenhous Meadow with a number of outstanding performances.

The 20-year-old has scored three goals and made two assists in seven appearances and his showings have seen him nominated for the League One Player of the Month award.

Kaikai’s performances for Shrewsbury have not gone unnoticed higher up the football pyramid with several Championship clubs keen to take him on loan.

The attacking midfielder’s loan spell at Shrewsbury expires in January and the club face a major battle to keep hold of him with the likes of Blackburn, Preston and Charlton all waiting in the wings to land Kaikai.

Kaikai, who enjoyed a successful spell on loan at Cambridge United last season, is highly-regarded within the corridors of power at Crystal Palace and they may decide a loan move to the Championship might be the next step in his development come January.
