Blackpool swoop to sign Potts

The England youth international will stay at Bloomfield Road until 2017 at least after the Seasiders agreed a compensation package with the League Two side.

Potts, who made 118 appearances for the Cumbrians, told Blackpool’s official website: “As soon as I spoke to the manager I wanted to come down and sign.

“I played one season in League One with Carlisle and I enjoyed it, so hopefully I can come here, play some games and do well.”

Potts becomes new Blackpool manager Neil McDonald’s second summer signing following the arrival of Colin Doyle earlier this week and will officially join when his contract expires at Brunton Park at the end of the month.
