Adam Bogdan has vowed to continue working hard in training in a bid to impress new Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
The Hungarian goalkeeper joined the club on a free transfer from Bolton over the summer and has made two appearances for the club so far – in the Capital One Cup triumphs over Carlisle on penalties and then in the next round against Bournemouth.
Bogdan is currently second choice goalkeeper at Anfield to Simon Mignolet and his team-mate feels the Reds have already improved under the German’s leadership.
But Bogdan hopes to catch Klopp’s eye and get further chances in Liverpol’s first team.
“The way I stay patient is because I had a chance to play and the main thing is that I’m hoping that gets me another chance,” he said.
“This is the nature of football, the nature of this position, there’s only one person can play and if that guy is doing really well it’s really hard to take over.
“But at the same time it’s really good because it shows that the work we’re doing in training is paying off. He’s working extremely hard, the team is doing well, it’s really good to see as well.”
