Antonio Conte says Chelsea are intent on improving their squad before the transfer deadline following the 3-0 win over Burnley.
It’s been a frustrating summer for the Blues as they’ve largely struggled to fins a breakthrough in the transfer market, but Conte has told supporters not to rule out movement in the coming days.
“We are working close together, the club and I, and we are trying to find the right solutions to improve this squad. We have four days to find this, but I am pleased to work with the squad I have.”
Meanwhile, Conte has challenged matchwinner Eden Hazard to replicate his performance more consistently.
“It was a good game and performance and we played good football with good possession. We created a lot of chances and kept a clean sheet – this is important because after 13 home games without a clean sheet this helps the confidence and shows the hard work is paying off.
“We have started very well this season but we must know we can improve.
“Eden Hazard must be this decisive in every game, and I am pleased because I saw it today, but we must work to improve more.”
