Brazil full-back in line for new deal to ward off Prem suitors

Juventus will offer Brazil full-back Alex Sandro a new contract to keep him away from the clutches of Chelsea, according to a report.

Calciomercato report that Juve are ready to offer the 26-year-old left-back a contract extension to bring him in line with the club’s top earners.

Juve are prepared to offer the full-back a new €5 million-a-year deal until 2022 in a bid to secure his future in Turin.

Chelsea pushed to sign the former Porto star in the summer, but Juventus refused to sell the Brazil international and now they are set offer him a two-year extension to his existing deal.

Tutto Mercato claim Chelsea and Manchester City remain interested in Sandro, but it’s suggested they will have to wait until the summer to get their hands on the player.

Reports in England however claim Chelsea will make an improved bid for Sandro in January, but Juventus’ new contract offer is likely to keep Sandro away from his Premier League suitors.

Sandro has played in four Serie A games for Juve this term and netted his first goal for Juventus this season with a header against Torino at the weeken.

He made 43 appearances last season, scoring three times and claiming seven assists. He joined the Serie A giants for €26million in summer 2015.
