Brentford midfielder Konstantin Kerschbaumer has joined German side Arminia Bielefeld on a season-long loan.
Austrian Kerschbaumer, 24, was signed by the Bees two years ago but has struggled to hold down a first-team place.
Bees boss Dean Smith told the club’s official website: “We have allowed him to join Arminia Bielefeld on loan so he can get the games he needs.
“Playing regular matches will keep his development going. Not playing regularly could stall his progress and we do not want that. He is a player we still have high hopes for.”
Kerschbaumer, signed for an undisclosed fee from Admira Wacker Modling in July 2015, has made a total of 52 appearances for the Bees.
