Burnley are planning a new bid for Derby County and Republic of Ireland star Jeff Hendrick, sources have told TEAMtalk.com.
The Premier League new boys have already seen two offers in the region of £3million rejected by Derby for Hendrick, with the Rams keen to keep hold of the midfielder.
Hendrick impressed for Republic of Ireland at Euro 2016 and a number of Premier League clubs are actively monitoring his situation at the iPro Stadium.
Burnley were hoping to steal a march on their rivals by tabling a couple of bids for Hendrick, but Derby have swiftly rebuffed their overtures.
Hendrick, who came through the ranks at Derby after joining as a youngster from Ireland, is entering the final two years of his contract with the Rams.
Burnley boss Sean Dyche is determined to add to his squad as they prepare for life back in the Premier League and he has made Hendrick one of his top targets.
Burnley are now set to table an improved offer to Derby for Hendrick as they look to persuade the Championship club to cash-in on the 24-year-old.
