Bury v Morecambe preview

Adam El-Abd is the only major injury concern for Bury manager David Flitcroft ahead of the Morecambe game.

The defender was stretchered off late on in Friday’s 2-0 win over Cambridge with a serious-looking injury, although Flitcroft admitted he did not know the full extent of the problem.

Jim McNulty may be rushed back from a hip problem, but on-loan Bolton defender Rob Holding is the more likely to return in place of El-Abd after making his debut from the bench.

Joe Riley serves the second game of his suspension, while Danny Rose is still not match fit which leaves Daniel Nardiello to challenge Tom Eaves for an attacking spot.

Morecambe only have one fresh injury worry following the draw with Accrington.

Defender Mark Hughes was forced off in the first half and is a major doubt to return to the starting line-up, which means Alan Goodall could come into the side after appearing from the bench.

Liverpool loanee Danny Ward looks to have beaten off competition from Andreas Arestidou to be manager Jim Bentley’s first-choice goalkeeper after being given a second start in a row.

Barry Roche (hip) and Ryan Williams both missed out on Good Friday and are unlikely to recover in time.
