Davor Lovren: Winger linked with a move to join brother at Reds

Liverpool could reportedly make a move for Dejan Lovren’s younger brother and are eyeing a highly-rated PSG duo.

In a new regular feature, we take a look at the day’s rumours involving Liverpool, separating the wheat from the chaff to save you the trouble…

Few things are more heart-warming than siblings playing on the same team. But with the Nevilles now retired, the Toures no longer together at Manchester City, the Ayews also competing against each in the Premier League, and Norwich’s Josh Murphy on loan away from brother Jacob, it’s one thing the division is sadly lacking at the moment.

According to the Daily Mirror, this could all be resolved as Liverpool want to bring Dejan Lovren’s brother Davor to Anfield. Sadly the dreams – or nightmares – of a Lovren centre-back partnership are unlikely to come true as 17-year-old Davor is a tricky winger that “has been compared to Eden Hazard in looks and playing style”.

Perhaps making the transfer more unlikely however is the fact that the Mirror have got their information from Tuttomercatoweb, an Italian outlet who somehow know the future of a Dynamo Zagreb youth team player.

The Metro have often been sneered up for their careless whispers, but they could actually be onto something with this one.

According to the paper, the Red have been keeping an eye on the PSG youngsters Nkunku and Ba in the UEFA Youth League. In the hunt for the truth we are taken to the Daily Express, who cite L’Equipe as their source.

A well-respected French newspaper reporting news on two highly-rated prospects playing in France. That’s more like it. It might be worth keeping an eye on this one.
