Celtic boss Rodgers plots swoop for £4m Reading defender

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is planning a January transfer raid on Championship side Reading, according to reports in Scotland

Rodgers has admitted central defence is an area he wants to strength when the transfer window opens again in the new year and the Bhoys boss has sent his scouts to make regular checks on Royals defender Liam Moore.

The Premier League title winner has enjoyed a new lease of life since joining the Royals from Leicester last summer and has been in fine form for Jaap Stam’s side, despite their inconsistent form in the Championship.

The Daily Record claims Moore is at the top of Rodgers’ transfer wish-list and a £4million bid could be in the offing for the 24-year-old.
