The Hoops will unfurl their fourth successive championship flag in front of a packed Celtic Park crowd at 12.45pm on Saturday, August 1.

Last season Ronny Deila’s side ended the campaign 17 points clear of nearest rivals Aberdeen, who feature in the second live match the following day.

Derek McInnes takes his team south to Tannadice to face Jackie McNamara’s Dundee United, who will be desperate for a winning start after taking maximum points from just three of their final 15 matches last season.

Sky Sports Head of Football Gary Hughes said: “The opening weekend is a huge moment and we’re looking forward to the big kick off in Scotland on Sky Sports.

“With the reigning champions Celtic first up against Ross County and then last season’s runners up Aberdeen travelling to Dundee United the following day it will be a fantastic start.

“The start of the season is always filled with optimism for all teams, and we can’t wait for another exciting season of Scottish football on Sky Sports.”
