Jonathan Calleri: Striker expected to join West Ham

Reported Chelsea and Arsenal target Jonathan Calleri has revealed he is on the brink of joining Inter Milan from Boca Juniors in January.

Calleri, 22, who has scored 10 goals in the Argentine Primera Division this season, told reporters in South America the two clubs had reached an agreement and he would discuss terms with the Serie A leaders.

“The negotiations are very far advanced, but it’s a very difficult decision,” he told TyC Sports.

“Almost everything’s done from Boca’s side – it’s just up to me now to reach an agreement. Every player would like to play for Inter. It’s a train that passes only once.

“I’m delighted with the way Boca, a great club, have treated me. I would like to play in the Copa Libertadores, but I know that it’s complicated. [Pablo Daniel] Osvaldo is coming back and I want to be playing with continuity.
