Chelsea lodge €5m-a-season contract offer for winger – report
Chelsea are willing to pay Federico Bernardeschi €5million a season to land the Fiorentina man, according to a report.
The highly rated Viola winger is also reportedly being tracked by Juventus and Inter Milan, but Antonio Conte is apparently so keen to get the player on board that he has made a contract offer to him.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport Conte is prepared to pay the 23-year-old Azzurri star over £84,000 a week to secure his signature.
Bernardeschi, who has 13 goals and five assists from 38 club appearances this season, is under contract until June 2019.
The report claims his future remains in doubt under Fiorentina boss Paulo Sousa and talks over a new deal in Florence have stalled.
It is understood that if the Serie A club can’t get him to re-sign his contract before this summer, then Fiorentina might want to sell him while his stock is high.
