Radja Nainggolan: Chelsea link resurfaces

Chelsea have made an initial approach to Roma for Radja Nainggolan, according to the player himself.

Ever since Antonio Conte was confirmed as the Premier League club’s new manager for next season the rumours that Nainggolan would follow him from Serie A to The Premier League have been rife.

And now the 28-year-old midfielder, who has been with Roma since January 2014, has revealed that the two clubs have held initial talks over his future, although he insists no transfer agreement has been reached.

“There has been contact between Roma and Chelsea,” he midfielder told HLN Nina. “But I will not get involved so long as there is no agreement between the clubs.

“Chelsea are keen to strengthen their squad and Conte is a manager who wanted to sign me before. Chelsea are a big club. But the transfer is not a done deal so long as there is no signed contract on the table. And it would not be easy to leave Italy after 11 years.”
