Chelsea and Manchester United both want Borussia Dortmund defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos, according to reports in Germany.
German publication Bild suggests the Premier League pair will go head-to-head for the 29-year-old centre-back.
Arsenal have been linked with the Greece international, who has two years to run on his Dortmund deal, but Chelsea and United are now believed to be heading the queue for the player.
Apparently the Bundesliga giants are prepared to sell the player, who could cost in excess of £20million, this summer.
Papastathopoulos signed for Dortmund from Werder Bremen for £8.42million in July 2013 and he has gone on to make 100 appearances for Dortmund.
The reliable 6ft 1in defender made 41 appearances for Dortmund last season, but whether Jose Mourinho is in the market for another centre-back after agreeing to sign Victor Lindelof is doubtful.
Chelsea though will definitely recruit a centre-back to replace John Terry this summer and Papastathopoulos is believed to be under consideration by Antonio Conte.
