Nemanja Matic was rated by the media as both the best and the joint worst of Chelsea’s players in their 0-0 draw at Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday.
Eden Hazard and Willian both hit the woodwork in Ukraine as Chelsea went close to making it back-to-back wins, although Asmir Begovic was called into action at the other end to help the Blues to a second consecutive clean sheet.
It was Willian that impressed the onlooking media the most, earning an average rating of 7.625 from the Daily Mirror, Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph and ESPN FC, but Hazard was not far behind him with an average of 7.5.
Matic received the third highest average score, 7.25, but his performance seemingly split journalists, with the ESPN FC awarding him 9/10 and the Daily Mail 8/10 but the Daily Mirror and Daily Telegraph awarding him a rating of only 6/10.
Aside from the aforementioned trio, Cesar Azpilicueta was the only player to earn a mark of 8/10 or above from any of the four sources.
